The nose presents notes of toast, vegetal agave, herbs and grass, sandalwood, black pepper, apple, caramel, coffee, vanilla, strawberries and cream, and mint with wood. Surprisingly vegetal for a 6-year-old, the elements that typically contribute richness and sweetness are evident but relatively subdued. On the palate, it is sweet and spicy, with flavors of agave, pepper, vanilla, mint, grass, and caramel, leading to a long, peppery, green finish. This is a lively extra añejo agave spirit (though it cannot be officially labeled as such, being from outside the designated 'tequila' regions), possessing considerable character and complexity for a 6-year-old. It still retains many youthful traits that are usually significantly muted by this age. Overall, a very pleasing discovery, blending the characteristics of a moderately sweet añejo with those of a spicy and green joven.

Tried neat. The aroma is like dessert, with notes of strawberries and cream, caramel, apricot, dates, vanilla cake, and frosting. On the palate, it's very different from the nose. It's earthy with notes of pepper, mint, and grass. Thanks to a friend.
