Cowboy Little Barrel American Blended Whiskey

How bad could a novelty little bottle of bourbon really be? Turns out that question has more depth than I would have imagined. Depth like way down deep below what's acceptable, deep in the trash heap. The landfill. The dump. I don't know if this bottle was off, but I couldn't find a single use for it, no exaggeration. It's not quite time for a revolution, so a Molotov cocktail was out. Too many wood sugars to use as a cleaner or disinfectant. The only option is to dump it, and I won't do that on principle, so I guess it's 'infuse' time. So yeah, it's now inside a hollowed-out pumpkin with a ton of other ingredients. The result will be terrible, but undoubtedly better than this as it is. I'm not trying to be unkind; this was literally my reaction. This can't be what the distillers intended to release.

The flavors aren't overpowering, but it certainly has character with virtually no bite. Be cautious, as this one is both smooth and potentially deceptive.

Caramel, oak, and vanilla. A bit below average. I'd pick Buffalo Trace over this, but it's still decent on its own.

A really nice whisky. This has taken the place of Elijah Craig Small Batch as my go-to for an elevated drink.

A smooth whisky with undertones of honey, caramel, and tobacco. Best served with ice.
