This VSOP from Courvoisier is made with grapes cultivated in four of the six designated Cognac regions: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Fin Bois, and Borderies. The brandies within this VSOP are reported to range from 5 to 15 years in age. This is a fine, strong VSOP, aged a bit longer than a VS, intended for today's brandy market. Exclusif is quite fruity and rich, making it excellent in cocktails. It begins with sweetness, featuring notes of fruit, sherry, and ginger ale. The palate is bitter and dry, with hints of beer, grape, and sherry. The finish is candied, with flavors of grape, syrup, and salt. September 2017
Not up to VSOP standards, but still quite pleasant. Very smooth and mild. Subtle hints of oak, cherry, fig, and plum.
