I've never had liqueur before and have no clue about it. I bought this bottle at the distillery shop during a trip to England's Cotswolds last summer. Upon opening it last night, I discovered it makes an incredible raspberry coulis. I made a classic New York cheesecake yesterday and used this for the coulis with raspberries. As a sauce, it's fantastic, adding an uncommon depth that enhances the berry flavors. Sipping it while cooking brought out notes of chocolate and berries. It's definitely suited for summer. For just under $10, it's quite good. I might not use it for sipping, but it will be great for desserts, coffee, and ice cream toppings.
