I sampled this last year at their small distillery and again today at a New York Rye Week event. It's a very respectable rye that hits all the appropriate notes and avoids any undesirable ones. It's as good as any of the ryes from the increasingly competitive New York State distillery scene and superior to many.

About this bottle
Hudson Valley rye, cultivated on nearby farms and the distillery's own land, forms the entirety of this whiskey's mash bill. The grain is malted and kilned on-site, and open-top wood fermenters are used for mashing. It undergoes distillation in direct-fire alembic stills and is aged for at least two years in new, charred American oak. The whiskey is bottled at 96 proof. The name is inspired by a prominent peak visible from the distillery in the Hudson Valley.

The finest Rye whiskey. It's comparable to Whistle Pig 10yr, but possesses more depth and richness. Drinking this reminds me of playing hide and seek; it's a pleasure to discover the diverse, rich aromas and tastes within this whiskey.
Spicy. Had some burn initially, but then became accustomed to it.
Spicy yet easy to drink.
