The whiskies comprising Oak Cross are Highland malts initially matured in first-fill American oak casks. For a secondary maturation, a portion of the spirit is aged in custom-made barrels featuring American oak bodies and French oak heads, specifically crafted for Compass Box. The whiskies are then vatted, allowed to rest, and bottled.
