Built by Col. Taylor in 1885, Warehouse C, the structure where this 10-year-old Bottled in Bond bourbon was aged, was reportedly his most esteemed barrel house. The bourbon's barrels spent a decade aging in the middle of Warehouse C, with half originating from the second floor and the other half from the fifth. This bottling, available in limited quantities as of June 2021, is presented at 50% ABV.

Reminiscent of a root beer float. Nose: Caramel, chocolate chews, root beer, vanilla, cola, butterscotch, maple syrup, cinnamon, cloves, maraschino cherries Palate: Root beer, vanilla, milk chocolate, cola, ginger, walnuts, demerara syrup, cinnamon, spearmint Finish: Nutella, root beer, toasted honey, vanilla taffy, brown sugar, coffee, passion fruit
The aroma is sweet, with notes of prunes and autumn spice, plus a hint of bubble gum. The palate is spice-dominant with a bit of sweetness, but the fruit notes are lost on me. It delivers a lot of heat for being 100 proof. The finish isn't particularly long. It's quite pleasant and a very good drink on its own, but not outstanding.
Absolutely delicious. I discovered this rare find at a local restaurant. It was exceptionally smooth, and I'd encourage anyone to try it if they get the opportunity.
Maple syrup on the nose Vanilla and something magical, with a slight oak finish.
I found this bottle to be quite underwhelming. My bottle from a prior year significantly outperforms this one.
