About this bottle

This unfiltered and uncut rye whiskey represents the 13th release in a collection named after Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr., who acquired the O.F.C. Distillery, now Buffalo Trace, in 1869. This is only the second rye whiskey introduced in the collection, following a bottled-in-bond small batch straight rye whiskey. Similar to other releases in the series, it is presented in a yellow canister with a vintage-style label. Barrel Proof Rye Whiskey, offered at 126 proof (63% ABV), is available in limited quantities beginning in June 2024. The suggested retail price is $77.99.

Bryanna Stuckey 4.3

Smell: cereal notes, some burnt sugar, and herbs. Taste: thick but very minty, reminiscent of candy canes. Underlying notes of burnt sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon like Goldschlager, the finish lingers and has good tannins, the cinnamon spice persists. Compared to a different bottle: Smell: buttery, butterscotch, vanilla Taste: less cinnamon, more complex flavor, oaky, vanilla, tannins, considerably better.

Antonia Nobles 3.8

A pleasant sweet rye. It offers some taste similarities to Willett rye. A little too hot for my liking, though.
