Brandon Giron 3.5

Aroma: milk chocolate, sweet, fruity, plums or raisins, vanilla, toffee, burnt coconut, lots of caramel, buttery, nuts and alcohol. (Coconut toffee candy). Underneath, a subtle citrus reminiscent of very sweet pineapple. Palate: very sweet, predominantly dark chocolate, fruity notes of raisins, great oakiness, good spiciness and alcohol warmth, which in turn is reinforced by the wood's tannins, bringing all the power of this whisky to the palate. Good buttery and nutty flavors. Finish: medium, with the sweetness fading first, making way for bitterness and alcohol warmth. The buttery notes support the persistence of chocolate, nutty, and woody flavors throughout the finish. Overall Impressions: a great national whisky with even better value. The sensory notes are quite complex, highlighting the chocolate notes, so sought after by some distilleries. The flavors develop in the mouth over time, so it's recommended to savor it slowly. It's possible to sense that very old whiskies are part of its composition, as well as younger whiskies, reinforced by the alcohol and a very subtle metallic note perceived in the aroma and palate. Do I recommend it? Yes, emphatically, as it is a beautiful example of single malt whisky and makes us proud to be Brazilian.
