Cleveland Underground Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Apple Wood

Nose: Hints of baked apple and cinnamon. Palate: Quite sweet, not deeply intricate. It has a light body, but it's enjoyable considering it seems like a young bourbon. It surprisingly packs a punch for being 90 proof, with spice notes becoming prominent towards the conclusion. Finish: Brief with a touch of heat. A bottle was given to me as a present. It's a pleasingly drinkable spirit. Its pale hue suggests it's a young spirit, but the bottle states it's "finished with an advanced pressure and oxygenation process which adds a series of flavors and aromas never before experienced in traditional whiskies". I'd say the method was successful for this distillery, as it surpassed all hopes for a bourbon from Cleveland.

A very gentle aroma and a sweet mouthfeel. The apple flavor is easily discernible, almost like a hint of green apple. A very smooth finish. The way they finish their bourbon is quite inventive. It's a distinct flavor, but I enjoy it. I like both the apple wood and the cherry wood finishes.

Requires ice, but once the alcohol content is reduced, it becomes very drinkable.

Served on the rocks, it becomes more palatable after resting for a few moments.

Small, but presents a pleasant secondary apple wood flavor.

Smells sweet, the taste is alright, and it finishes smooth
