I plan to revisit this soon and will provide an update. If you've tried other limited editions from this producer, you know you're in for a treat. This one had a cotton candy scent on the nose and went down very smoothly, as one would expect from a Canadian blended rye.

About this bottle
The first edition of Chicken Cock Cotton Club Rye, released in December 2021, is a 20-year-old Canadian rye whiskey (90% rye, 10% malted barley) bottled at 100 proof. Originally established in Paris, Kentucky, in 1856, the Chicken Cock brand's production shifted to Canada during Prohibition, with the whiskey subsequently smuggled back to the U.S. in tin cans. It became the signature spirit at The Cotton Club, a notable Harlem speakeasy of that era. This release is packaged in a collectible tin replicating Prohibition-era designs.
