About this bottle

Grain & Barrel Spirits has reintroduced the Chicken Cock brand, originally founded in 1856, with the limited edition Chicken Cock 10 Year Double Barrel Bourbon. This 10-year-old bourbon was produced at MGP in Indiana, using a mash bill consisting of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. Master distiller Gregg Snyder selected twelve barrels and created six distinct batches by combining two barrels for each. Production was limited to 1,980 bottles, with distribution beginning in select markets in October 2018.

Patience Gamboa 5.0

Acquired for my father-in-law, a dedicated bourbon and whiskey enthusiast, based on advice from my local wine and liquor shop owner. We opened it with the family to taste. We researched the brand's history online, enjoying the narrative and discussing the various tasting profiles. Highly recommended.

Timothy Preciado 3.5

It had a slightly salty profile with a thick finish and mouthfeel. Not to my preference.

Deann Reynolds 4.0

Very mellow, classic bourbon character with a pleasant sweet finish.
