Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Single Batch Series Batch 031: Red, White and Blue Grist

Dark copper color, it runs down the glass fairly quickly with many legs. Nose is corn (as expected), with all sorts of fantastic malty notes, heavy caramel, prunes, and tobacco leaves. Mostly sweet initially, it's balanced by a pleasant dryness in the middle that borders on bitter. Not unpleasant at all though. The finish on this is long and delicious: Malted milk balls coated in dark chocolate, burnt caramel, and plum pudding. I'd say this is only kept from being outstanding by lacking nuance and depth that appears somewhere between the mid-palate and finish. This is an offering that's really in line with what I enjoy! Great long finish... It has everything... this is delicious
