This elegant, unfiltered, cask-strength eau-de-vie from Armagnac, France, is a blend of 65% Ugni Blanc and 35% Colombard. Aged for 27 years in Gascon oak casks, it was bottled at 46% ABV in January 2021. The initial aroma features tree fruits, nuts, wood, and spices. Its rich and complex character develops notes of candied pineapple, gooseberry, flaky pastry, and hazelnut cream, culminating in a bold, medium-length finish with hints of rancio, chocolate, brown sugar, tobacco, oak, flint, and smoke.
