Cedar Ridge Distillery offers this limited edition holiday bourbon. The Iowa Bourbon spends its final year of maturation in port wine casks. These casks were sourced from the Cedar Ridge winery, which is also home to the distillery. The bottling proof is 55.5% ABV.

This is their standard bourbon but aged further in port barrels. It doesn't quite match the quality of the finish in Angel's Envy, but it is priced lower. It's a respectable option for the cost.
Batch 0021, bottle 0555. While my experience is limited for a precise tasting note, I found it very enjoyable. It's pleasing yet intricate.
I approve. Good flavor, pleasant kick. Who would have thought Iowa could produce a quality bourbon?
The nose has dark chocolate and cherry. Sweet grape and oak on the palate. It finishes weakly.
