Like virtually all coffee liqueurs, it's excessively sweet. I prefer to taste the coffee and the alcohol; I can always add sugar. At least this one allows some of the tequila flavors to come through, which isn't always the case. I'd still rather make my own, but it was worth trying and I'll use it in some mixed drinks now.
