Cameron Logsdon 3.8

Selected by Uncorked, this bottling is "Gallenstein Selection #2." Barrel Number 5852 Aged for 3 years 60.5% alcohol by volume; 121.1 proof Opened for 5 months Nose - Exhibits notes of cereal grain, pound cake, citrus peel, vanilla frosting, cinnamon, cardamom, white pepper, eucalyptus, minimal oak presence, and moderate ethanol. Palate - Features lemon custard, gingerbread, white pepper, fresh bread, juniper, mineral water, and dill. The finish is medium to long, characterized by sharp grain, cracked peppercorns, chalk, spiced vanilla, lemon oil, and pronounced ethanol. This spirit is surprisingly impressive given its age. Hesitation regarding Castle & Key was primarily based on online reviews and discussions in social media groups. However, tasting their bourbons and ryes at complimentary events has led to a favorable impression of most of their offerings. It bears a striking resemblance to Wilderness Trail Rye. The sweet mash process significantly alters the expected character of a rye whiskey. No regrets about purchasing this, but curiosity remains about how their ryes would taste at 4-5 years of age.

Sarai Mcgovern 4.8

This is a very good Rye whiskey. It's strong, sweet, and bitter. I got it at a fantastic price, only $19.99 for a bottle usually retailing at $50. I definitely need to buy more 😁

Esteban Duarte 3.5

Surprisingly mellow at first, with bold cinnamon and caramel preceding a long, warm finish.

Johan Pedersen 4.0

Great sweet Cherry smell, solid proof, rich, full cherry flavor and a long spicy finish
