Anissa Loyd 3.0

An American distillery created a "sherry bomb" that's practically nuclear. Aroma - Dusty wood and intense sherry notes. Classic bourbon notes are hard to find without really searching. Some vanilla and oak are present... no caramel. Taste - oak, red fruits, funk, must. Very intense with a multitude of flavors. This is most similar to Westland Sherry but with more bourbon character. This is a must-have for adventurous bourbon drinkers or scotch fans looking to explore. The musty and funky oak might be off-putting for some. I'm enjoying them. I'm considering a higher score, but it lacks the transitions and complexity I desire. It's more of a one-dimensional offering, which prevents it from receiving higher marks.

Vickie Kent 1.8

Meh. I acquired this very early in my collecting journey because its appearance caught my eye. I didn't enjoy it when I first opened it, so I set it aside for a couple of months before trying it again. Unfortunately, since then, I've developed a preference for Booker's, Elijah Craig BP, and other high proofers. It just doesn't measure up at that price point. It's sweet but has a lingering grassy aftertaste. There's a lot of vanilla on the nose that doesn't come through in the taste. I paid too much for it. It's not unpleasant, but just barely 'okay'.

Dollie Snow 3.3

It has a bronze hue, with sweet hints of vanilla and toffee. There's no bitterness until a bit of char comes through near the end. It's smooth and quite refreshing. The vanilla is a touch overpowering, and the flavors are intricate, making it challenging to identify precisely. When found on promotion around sixty dollars, it seems like a decent value. I'll use it for special drinks or when I want something different for a tasting.

Nita Reeder 4.5

VERY good. Caramel, vanilla, and just a hint of fruit from the sherry cask finish.
