NOSE: upfront peat, dried grapes, sweetness, cake, sweet cherry. TASTE: peat, smoked wood, tobacco, a little sweet, lots of smoked meat. FINISH: smoky but brief, not oily. A peated whisky from Laphroaig distillery - that's easy to find, but it's quite difficult to locate the sherry cask. More pronounced on the nose than on the taste.
