The 1978 vintage, released in 2004, is quite good, full of chocolate, barbecue, and coal. Nose: Dark Chocolate, Bacon, Honey, Eucalyptus, Coal, Espresso, Brown Sugar, Tobacco, Licorice, Cloves Palate: Vanilla, Smoke, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Coal, Dark Chocolate Oranges, Chili Peppers, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Brown Sugar, Caramel Finish: Lavender, Mexican Hot Chocolate, Mackerel, Sea Shells, Hoisin Sauce, Coal, Barbecue Ribs, Barbecue Glazed Ham

In my view, this is among the finest peated whiskies available. It's quite smooth but also potent.
