Krista Blaylock 3.5

A robust, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced by Western Spirits Beverage Company in Kentucky, made with a mash bill of 74% Corn, 18% Rye and 8% Malted Barley. It was aged for 10 years in new American white oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof. It begins aromatically with notes of grains, wood, fruits, herbs & spices; its rich character develops with notes of caramel, toasted honey, toffee & cherry; leading to a long & warm conclusion with notes of oak, vanilla, cinnamon, old leather & char.

Blind Test: Calumet Bull Lea 10 Nose: light and fruity. Taste: low proof, likely around 90. Sweet, caramel, vanilla. Not the most flavorful. Finish: caramel and cinnamon. Overall: this is completely acceptable, very easy to drink, but unremarkable. Score: 3.5/5

Butterscotch and vanilla. A potent yet exceptionally sweet dram. Best served on the rocks. This will be a nice addition to my dessert options. If the 10 year is this good, I'm eager to try the highly anticipated Calumet 16.

Leroy Wills 3.3

It has a simple, pleasant aroma of caramel and vanilla, but a surprising spiciness on the finish. While not to my preference, it's a lasting finish, making it a suitable evening drink.

Eugene Pryor 3.5

One of the bottles from our camping trip share. Sweet aroma and a fairly smooth palate. Offers better value than some other Calumets, but lacks the intense flavors of the 14 & 15 year expressions.

Liberty Sauceda 3.5

Mahogany color, very oaky nose with hints of vanilla. The palate is a bit dry with a sweet spice that finishes with a slow fade into dark fruit territory. Lots of depth throughout.
