About this bottle

This bottling commemorates the 2024 Fèis Ile festival. Distillery Manager Andrew Brown and Master Blender Julieann Fernandez created this unpeated single malt, initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in ruby port hogsheads casks. It has been aged for at least 14 years and is presented at cask strength, 117.4 proof (58.7% ABV). US availability is expected in early June 2024 (SRP $213.99).

Imagine having a 14-year-old Feis Ile 2024 Bunnahabhain Cask Strength Single Malt for breakfast. Well, I did, for free, at the Bunnahabhain visitor center, in a light rain. I hadn't eaten anything, and this was a 58.7% ABV dram. You'd think I suffered, but let me tell you, this was one of the finest whiskies I've tasted this year. Finished in ruby port casks, this is a true gem. Nose: Sawdust, plum marmalade, Tawny port, red fruits, chocolate, hazelnut & coffee. Wafer cookies, blackberry ice cream. Coffee with dulce de leche. Wonderful. Palate: Three notes: Orange chocolate, cotton candy, and many sugary profiles. Aftertaste: Followed suit. Cough syrup, honey. Marvelous red fruits, very sugary, coffee. Overall, this was a marvelous dram, out of this world. I had to buy a whole bottle, and now it only exists in my memories since I drank it. If you can find it, buy it; it's amazing. My score: 100 out of 100. Perfection.

Chase Shore 3.8

Love the nose which has a sherry-like funk vibe. Palate is bitter chocolate and berries. Nice but a little bitter for my liking.

Jackie Lombardo 3.3

Very fruity, little smoke, very long finish, a bit behind Toiteach a dha

Willis Beaulieu 4.5

Berries, cherries, and an incredible, lingering spice.

Jesus Mckinney 5.0

Really good, enjoyed the port flavor, my favorite.

Benjamin Bowling 4.8

Nearly flawless. A delicious expression.
