To begin, I usually choose Bulleit for my old fashioneds, so I thought I'd try something that could save me a minute or two? This doesn't taste like Bulleit; it tastes like it hasn't aged sufficiently. When I make one myself, it's darker. It's also a bit sweeter than I prefer. This tastes like an inexpensive bottom-shelf old fashioned found in any dive bar, where they mask the cheap liquor with excessive sugar. I would not suggest it.

I've sampled a few pre-mixed drinks, and this is one of the best I've encountered. The flavors aren't overwhelming, nor is it too syrupy for my taste. The Bourbon isn't overpowered. The alcohol content (75 proof) is such that one small glass is enough to relax with a cigar, and it can then be easily stored in the fridge for later. This, along with its counterpart, The Manhattan in the green bottle, are currently two of my go-to choices. They provide quick, undiluted mixed drinks to simply enjoy.
A perfectly acceptable ready-to-drink Old Fashioned. It doesn't blow you away, but not every cocktail needs to. Served on ice, it seems a little under-proofed, so it's probably best chilled in the fridge for a quick, cold pour.
Reminiscent of a well-made Old Fashioned. The orange bitters are expertly applied, providing the aromatic bitters essence alongside the orange peel notes typically found in an OF. A convenient selection for a derby party, costing $10 less than a comparable ready-to-drink option.
Does it hold up to a handmade Old Fashioned? Of course not. But for travel, it's the ideal compromise. I can have my preferred drink in a single bottle!
Bulleit makes for a decent Old Fashioned base, so it's somewhat strange that this is rather unremarkable. I feel the sweetness needs to be reduced.
