This is without a doubt the finest pre-made cocktail I've ever had! And while that might not seem like high praise, given the generally low standard for pre-made cocktails, it's also among the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had – period! It's a solid 86 proof, meaning the whiskey used was likely around 108-110 proof, given its 4:1 ratio of rye to simple syrup. I usually use High West Double Rye for my old fashioneds, and this cocktail uses the same base but tastes significantly better. I suspect this is due to a combination of 1) the barrel finishing allowing the flavors to meld more effectively and 2) the cocktail's 83 proof being about 10 points higher than my homemade version using 92 proof Double Rye + simple syrup (which typically results in about a 73-74 proof cocktail). At $45 for 12 cocktails, that's $3.75 per drink, and the only effort required is adding an orange peel and cherry garnish! If you're an Old Fashioned enthusiast, you must try this!

Not too bad. I usually prefer drinking spirits straight, but sometimes a change is needed. These have been gaining popularity, so I decided to try them. It's not mind-blowing, but it's good. My only complaint is the cost; I find it a bit steep for the quantity. $35-40 would be ideal, but it's pretty close. Oh well!

While not the finest Old Fashioned I've ever sampled, it's certainly not the worst. As others have noted, the standard for pre-mixed cocktails is quite low, and this one is perfectly acceptable. It's sweet, it's whiskey, and with the addition of an orange slice and a cherry, it's likely 80% as good as what I make myself. I'd happily drink this.

Very good. Picked this up along with the High West Manhattan during a close-out sale of 375ml bottles. I really like how the barrel finish integrates all the components.

They did an excellent job with this one! My standards for pre-made cocktails are quite low, but this easily surpasses them.

An excellent choice for impromptu drinks. Just add cherries and an orange slice; it's well-balanced. 🤙
