This was challenging for me, as I'm used to straight bourbons and prefer wheated options. The aroma had distinct brown sugar and wine notes that carried through to the palate. The flavor starts like whiskey and finishes with Pinot Noir, which are completely contradictory. The end reminds me of severe indigestion.

Vanilla and sharp wine notes are on the nose. The red wine flavor is strong on the palate, with vanilla and spices subtly present. The moderately long finish is warming and spicy, with more vanilla and red wine notes. Quite enjoyable.
A very smooth 10-year-old that was actually aged an extra 18+ months in Pinot Noir Barrels. I'm unsure why the age statement isn't 12 years? It has a beautiful Pinot finish. I'm going for another taste!
There isn't a lot of flavor, but it's very smooth and incredibly creamy. I love the mouthfeel. Subtle and well-balanced.
