About this bottle
Bruichladdich Thirty is presented as one of two single malt expressions launching within its Luxury Redefined series and marks the debut of the brand's first permanent high age statement whiskies. Crafted from 100% unpeated malted barley, the whisky was distilled in 1989, 1991, and 1992, preceding the distillery's closure in 1994. The barrels were preserved, and Bruichladdich was re-established in 2001. Maturation occurred exclusively on Islay in ex-bourbon barrels, with 50% aged entirely in refill hogsheads and the other 50% recasked into new bourbon barrels after two decades in refill hogsheads. Bottled at 43.2% ABV without chill-filtration, it is accessible from February 2024. (SRP $1,999.99)
