It exhibits the classic saline notes associated with Bruichladdich, though slightly more subdued here, alongside abundant rich, ripe apple/pear flavors and a hint of fruity red berry. This evolves on the palate, giving the impression that it was primarily matured in ex-bourbon casks, but it likely includes some form of wine cask influence and perhaps even a refill sherry or similar.
