In my opinion, this is the finest dram I have ever experienced. I admit to having a significant fondness for sweets (some have suggested I should limit myself to ports) and this certainly satisfies that craving. The sweetness isn't spicy, as might be found in some cognac or port/sherry finished spirits, but rather reminiscent of Glenmorangie Bacalta, with an amplified sugary intensity. It's immediately apparent upon the first taste but mellows towards the end, revealing subtle notes of vanilla, pineapple, and a hint of raspberry. Fortunately, the liquid isn't excessively thick, resulting in a medium-short finish that doesn't coat the palate and overpower accompanying flavors. Nevertheless, this is undeniably a dessert whiskey.
