About this bottle
Part of a trio of Rare Cask Series bottles launched in late 2017, this 30-year-old expression represents the last seven casks distilled in 1986. The unpeated single malt spent 26 years maturing in oloroso sherry butts before master distiller Jim McEwan transferred it in 2012 to Pedro Ximenez butts from Bodega Fernando de Castilla. Bottled at cask strength of 44.6% ABV without added color or chill-filtration, this is a limited edition of 4200 bottles.

The aroma is full of treacle, Madeira, rum cake, and sticky toffee pudding. The taste is simpler, dominated by sherry and wine, but it's a fantastic whisky to smell.
