The aroma presents some sweetness and wood notes, but it's unrefined. On the palate, there's a hint of cherry with some body, yet an unusual, off-putting flavor emerges, possibly from the sorghum. The finish is similarly unpleasant, leaving a lasting negative impression. Generally, this tastes like a budget whisky with minimal aging. More time might improve the experience, but I suspect the sorghum is the main issue. I commend the small Wisconsin distillery's attempt, though this needs further refinement.
