About this bottle
This limited 40 Year Brora edition commemorates the distillery's bicentennial, established in 1819. The single malt in this bottling was aged in 12 American oak hogsheads after being distilled in 1978. Brora utilized heavily-peated Northern Highland barley between 1969 and its closure in 1983. Exactly 1819 bottles were produced to signify its opening year. It became available in August 2019, one year prior to the distillery's anticipated reopening.
