From Broken Barrel Whiskey Co. (formerly Infuse Spirits), this Isle of Peat is one of three in the Single Oak Series. It combines American wheat whiskey and American single malt whiskey, both at least one year old. Post-blend maturation involves oak staves from peated Islay whisky. Production was limited to 6600 bottles, and it is bottled at 110 proof.

Underwhelming. The aroma is not bad, just uninspired, carrying a scent like slightly spicy clay. The palate is somewhat fruity but mostly young and woody. The finish is the highlight, revealing more mature and complex notes than the rest of the spirit.
A strong campfire aroma is prominent, with faint dampness/tobacco undertones and a charred finish. The flavor lasts a long time and lingers significantly.
The nose has butterscotch, with minimal smoke. The mouthfeel is sweet and savory, and the finish is brief.
It possesses all the characteristics of bourbon and no peat, yet it's executed very well overall. Abundant vanilla notes are present.
This whiskey is fantastic! A great combination of smoke and sweetness.
