Broken Barrel California Oak (Previous Packaging Discontinued)

This Kentucky Bourbon was finished in California wine barrels. I was unsure what to expect but found it surprisingly well-balanced and dangerously drinkable, with dark fruit notes and a nose of honeycomb and vanilla. It has a sweet entry and a medium finish. For a $30 bottle, it exceeded expectations with its creativity and execution. A perfect score.
