Method: A small pour in a Glen glass. Allowed to rest for 15 minutes. Nose: The initial aroma is quite potent. I definitely detect notes of oak, spices, and some hints of fruit. Palate: Earthy, woody tones are upfront. Then a pleasant cinnamon note in the middle, followed by a caramel finish. Overall, a good pour!

Hailing from NC, I was eager to sample some local bourbon. The two bourbons I've disliked the most have originated from NC. 1712 and now this one.
