I obtained this sample based on a pleasant introduction to the distillery from a friend last Christmas. This particular one was quite different from that fruity bottling but equally enjoyable. It's a robustly malty whisky - rich warm bread on the nose, with a pleasing hint of nasal decongestant, and strong toasty flavors in the mouth. The finish is long and delicately spicy. Surprisingly potent for its ABV, it's a pity we don't encounter this outside of blended whiskies more frequently. Definitely worth trying and I wouldn't object to buying a bottle.
