Nora Washburn 3.0

(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, 05 February 2021). Nose: Toffee, apple, acetone, solvent/hairspray Palate: Smooth, toffee, sweet orchard fruit, vanilla, slightly 'hot' but not unpleasantly so. Finish: Sweet, lightly citrusy, caramel. Some oak/wood notes and a bit of light spice appear as it fades. Leaves a mildly sour aftertaste. I've never been a huge fan of Brackla, but this was a pretty good dram. It's certainly one of the better Bracklas I've encountered, with a lovely mouthfeel and creaminess considering its youth. I would be happy to have it again. It tied for last place out of the six whiskies, receiving 4% of the final vote for favorite of the night (1 vote), but this might be because there was an exceptionally outstanding dram at the tasting that was the clear winner. 70% of attendees said they enjoyed the whisky (16 votes).
