This particular spirit is easily among the most disgusting, artificial-tasting "whiskeys" I've ever encountered. I've never tasted kerosene, but I imagine this is quite similar.

About this bottle
Rio Brazos Distillery crafts Boxcar Texas Whiskey in Texas. This spirit is a combination of whiskeys made from corn, rye, and malted barley, which are pot-distilled and matured in previously used oak barrels for an indeterminate period. Following maturation, the blend undergoes filtration through charred pecan wood before being bottled at 45% ABV.

Light and floral with subtle hints of honey and brown sugar. It's sweet, but not overly so. Easy to drink. Perfect for making Manhattans and Old Fashioneds.
Mid-palate impact, tar-like, subtle aroma, with a medicinal cherry scent.
Acceptable, with no distinct aroma.
