This is the seventh offering in the Bowmore x Aston Martin special edition collection, honoring the renowned British automotive company. This particular edition features a peated single malt that has been matured for a minimum of 10 years in a combination of Spanish oak sherry hogsheads and casks, contributing to its dark hue and robust flavor.

This has more peat than most Bowmore expressions. The nose carries dark chocolate, a hint of orange peel, and mild smoke, reminiscent of a small stovetop grill. Dark chocolate is less prominent on the palate, replaced by caramel and touches of sea salt. The finish is salted caramel, but it's shorter than I'd prefer.
The aroma is heavily peaty. The palate has peat and a distinct wine character, with notes of chestnuts, vanilla, and a medium intensity.
