A heavier, almost malty note in this whiskey, based on what I could discern under the amburana. Burnt brown sugar, heavy oak, hazelnut, cinnamon, and a slight barrel char. The finish is medium length with a classic amburana finish that leaves brown sugar on the tongue with moderate spice. It's so difficult to pick a favorite amburana.
