On the nose, there's bright orange peel, juniper, cardamom, turmeric, almond, and angelica. The mouthfeel is quite oily. The palate features more orange peel, cardamom, juniper, and turmeric, along with prominent pepper, coriander, and a touch of cassia. The finish is medium-long with a mild warmth. Rated 3.25/5.00 – Quite Good (neat).

About this bottle
The second offering in Bombay Sapphire's Special Edition line, following the 2019 English Estate, is Bombay Sapphire Sunset. Master Distiller Dr. Anne Brock and Master of Botanicals Ivano Tonutti created this gin by adding golden turmeric, Spanish mandarin, and Indian white cardamom to the brand's original ten botanicals. It became available in the UK in the spring of 2021.

The juniper is noticeable in the aroma, but the taste barely has any. The flavor is also weak - the advertised mandarin freshness is absent, and the other botanicals are lost in a taste that resembles very cheap vodka. It's quite harsh going down.
This is a more aromatic version of the standard bottle, with three added botanicals. It has a strong flavor, slightly tart and citrusy, with a bitter-sweet, long finish.
A complete natural transformation of the original. It's citrusy and a bit exotic, definitely sweet like orange candy rather than fresh fruit.
