About this bottle

A limited release, this Blue Note expression starts with a straight bourbon mash bill (70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley) aged a minimum of three years. It was distilled in Kentucky with Bardstown Bourbon Co. and matured in Tennessee. The bourbon undergoes a finishing period in barrels previously used for honey-aged whiskey. Bottled unfiltered at 115.7 proof, production is limited to 1,800 bottles, available online and in specific US markets from November 2024. (SRP $64.99)

Nora Bruner 3.8

Quite sweet, but the higher proof nicely balances it, preventing it from being overwhelmingly sweet. Not for regular drinking, but a pleasant change of pace. It's like an after-dinner drink.

Estelle Tabor 3.5

Nose: vanilla, honey, pear or green apple, maple syrup or burnt brown sugar. Taste: a bit of oak, sweet and spicy, pear or green apple, toasty. Lingering spice.
