I enjoyed this. Significantly. Smell: Very typical bourbon scents of vanilla, brown sugar, caramel, pear, and some burnt oak. Smells quite sweet. Faint yeasty undertones like freshly baked bread. Taste: Less sweet than the aroma suggests. It still has ample sweetness, but it's balanced by leather and tobacco that complement the apple and pear flavors and the vanilla caramel notes. Nothing groundbreaking, but a superb example of a bourbon. Aftertaste: A little peppery, with black pepper, pronounced barrel char, and a medium duration. This whiskey is exceptionally smooth and doesn't feel as strong as its proof indicates. I appreciated the extra char notes as they nicely countered the sweetness.

A blend of well-aged bourbons, near or at barrel strength. Displays a classic deep brown hue in the glass. Nose: Baked apples, vanilla, and char. Typical bourbon characteristics. Palate: Echoes the nose effectively, with honey, vanilla, and a hint of nuttiness. The alcohol content provides remarkable richness to the pour. Finish: Its age is evident in the finish with notes of char and chocolate. A potent drink due to its high proof and easy drinkability. Adding a couple of drops of water enhanced the fruity notes, and I enjoyed it equally both ways. A standout bourbon in my estimation! Cheers!

The nose is full of charred oak, marshmallow, vanilla, and an amazing creaminess. It smells essentially like a bakery. It's incredibly tempting to keep returning to it; this is the true essence of a toasted oak finish. The palate is smooth and somewhat dry, coating the mouth with charred oak and some spicier notes. Oak remains the dominant flavor, but in an enjoyable way. However, the creamier notes are somewhat underwhelming. The finish is medium in length and a bit spicy, with the charred oak gradually fading.

Sweetness initially, but not overpowering. The finish was spicy yet smooth. Compared to another product, this is a more classic bourbon, offering a lengthier, spicier finish. My personal preference leaned towards the other product because its rum cask aging was executed well. However, this is an excellent bourbon for those who appreciate genuine spice without sacrificing a smooth experience. I located this last year (2018) at a supermarket for $85. It appeared to be priced around $100 elsewhere.

This will make you perspire profusely, as if fleeing velociraptors in a dense jungle. Indeed, it's hot. My teeth felt damp from the heat. Add some water, and it becomes delicious, velvety, and caramelly, with notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Best saved for winter, when the predatory reptiles have retreated to warmer climates.

Dangerously sweet and easy to consume. The aroma offers a strong scent of toasted marshmallows, alongside caramel and charred oak. The mouthfeel is full-bodied. The aromas carry through to the taste, joined by leather and sweet tobacco, plus a delicate floral hint like rose oil. A long finish provides a pleasant warmth.
