I believe this is my most preferred Blanton's expression to date. It offers notes of dried fruit, vanilla bean, and some sweeter, almost tropical fruit characteristics. The body has some oak presence but isn't overwhelmingly woody. Additionally, there are subtle notes of hay, light char, and more dried fruit. The finish is smooth and easy, with a gentle hint of cinnamon spice. This particular bottle truly excelled in every aspect of the bourbon category for me, earning a perfect score. Perhaps a journey to Japan is in order.
