Blanton's Straight From The Barrel 2023-Barrel #281

Nose: sugary tobacco, hide, caramel, sweet red apple, and vanilla. Palate: rich vanilla, hide, brown sugar, baking spice, very sweet tobacco, and that same crisp red apple right on the finish. It’s very mouth numbing which adds to the richness of the vanilla. Still has the amazing sweetness of regular Blanton’s but at cask strength which makes it 10x better. Extremely long finish (quite the journey). Honestly hard to explain how good this is. Soooo sweet, so delicious. Gotta be the best I’ve had. Bonus points (as if it needed any): cleanest and crispiest pop I’ve heard yet.

Nose: Sweet, cherry, white chocolate, candied strawberry Body: Moist, sweet with a bite. Light red fruit. Rich mouthfeel. Dessert cherries. Strawberry shortcake. This is honestly perfect in every way. Excellent for sipping. You wouldn't get this experience often. Good, long finish. Fruity notes persist. This makes up for all the shortcomings of the base Blanton's. The amazing flavor of the original with a proof that finally matches and lingers appropriately.
