Initially, it tastes like honey. This is a honey and rye whiskey liqueur. And it's a damn good one, the best of its kind I’ve had. If you enjoy other honey-flavored spirits, you will absolutely love this. At 70 proof, it has enough kick to get moving if that's what you seek. It's dangerous because you barely taste the alcohol. It's not something I would drink daily, but damn is it ever tasty and good.

ABV is 35% because of the local honey added. You definitely get a strong honey smell and taste instantly. This is a good sipping drink on the rocks or mixed with a bit of lemon or lime juice. Great local atmosphere if you can make it out to their distillery in Nelson County.
Very prominent honey notes.
