Black Magic Spiced Rum

The color of this rum is incredibly dark, resembling strong coffee. Its aroma is quite sweet, with plenty of spice and vanilla notes, evoking the scent of a holiday candle. The palate offers immediate sweetness, matching the nose's promise. Primary flavors include caramel and vanilla, supported by whole spices like clove and cinnamon that linger subtly behind the sweetness. The finish begins with a peppery sensation before turning bitter midway, leaving little lasting impact. This is an ideal choice for those who prefer high-proof and very sweet beverages.

Vanilla is prominent, followed by some spices that emerge later. It's certainly on the sweeter end, though perhaps not what I'd seek in a "black spiced rum." Nevertheless, it is enjoyable.

Smooth beginnings with a very sweet ending note. High concentration of clove, cinnamon, and caramels. Sweeter than most Rums, very capable as a Sipping Rum or Shots.

Not as robust as other dark rums, properly divided between being a dark and a spiced rum.

Pleasant spice flavors are noticeable. Slightly sweet when consumed neat. Smooth.

One of my favorites; perfectly balanced, sweet without being excessive, and richly spiced.
