A mellow, composed rye showing notes of caramel, vanilla, Mexican chocolate, roses, orange soda, and dried apricots. The rye's spice is present but not overwhelming, and a light oak influence contributes depth. The ending is medium with lasting warmth and a gentle sweetness. A flexible and accessible whiskey, great for sipping or mixing. I will certainly be a repeat buyer.
