About this bottle

The founders of Black Button hailed from a family with four generations of button manufacturing for apparel. Head distiller Jason Barrett, who sorted buttons as a child, was found to be colorblind due to sorting all of them as black. This Rochester-based distillery sources all its components from local New York farms, and the Lilac Gin is produced annually.

Didn't quite work for me. The lilac aroma is strong and almost soapy to my senses. The taste isn't much different. It performs well in an aviation or water lily cocktail, where the creme de violette enhances the floral notes, but I wouldn't drink this neat and doubt it would hold up against stronger flavored cocktails.
