About this bottle

The third and final bottling in Douglas Laing's Big Peat Vintage Series, Big Peat 27 Year Black Edition, was created to examine how a blend of aged single cask single malts evolved over three years. It is presented non-chill filtered, with no added color, at 48.3% ABV. Global release numbered 3,000 bottles as of January 2020.

One of the finest aged Islay malts I've sampled. I suspect a considerable amount of Bowmore and Ardbeg in this blend. Highly aromatic and soapy on the palate, with a satisfyingly long finish... delightful!!!
