Dakota Spirits Distillery offers this limited edition blended whiskey, named for its ownership. The brothers utilized Missouri River basin water and South Dakota-grown grains for their inaugural whiskey, a combination of 50% straight bourbon and 50% unaged grain spirit. The bourbon component ages for a minimum of four years at 120 proof in charred oak, with the final blend bottled at 80 proof.

A whiskey that resembles beer and needs more than a small taste. After a full glass, I'm ready to buy a case. There's a significant burn initially, but the finish is well worth the wait. It's rich with caramel and smoke flavors, finishes surprisingly cleanly, and leaves you wanting more. A definite must-buy, especially considering the cost.
